Is this really how we punish rebellious/mutinous military officers? By sending them to the Senate? First Gringo. Now Trillanes. Sure one could argue that Ramos couped against Marcos. But that end was justified. And there was a deafening clamor from the people for leadership change at the very top. Gringo and Trillanes were upset at the people within their own ranks in the military. And they had to bother -- and drag down -- the entire nation just to have their way and get what they want?! Such brats! And now we're giving them candy? Naman!

Golden

One of the biggest mistakes that the Oscar voters ever did was to deny Cate Blanchett the Best Actress award she so richly deserved for "Elizabeth". I hope they don't make the same mistake twice. And I mean twice for the same role. The Great Cate already deserves the award now based on the trailer alone for "Elizabeth: The Golden Age". Yes it's a sequel and it centers on the love affair between Elizabeth and Sir Walter Raleigh, played by Clive Owen, who delivers this quotable line, "We have many weaknesses; we feel too much, we die, but we do have the chance of love." As though those two Oscar darlings weren't enough the movie also has one-time winner (for "Shine") Geoffrey Rush reprising his role from the first film and two-time nominee Samantha Morton. Shekar Kapur was at the helm again and hopefully he'll get the directing nomination that was denied to him the first time around.
