THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM, about Jason Bourne's quest for his identity, is worth 10 consecutive rides in Enchanted Kingdom's Space Shuttle. It made my head and stomach twist and turn from all that verite-style camera work and fast cuts.

WAITRESS, about a waitress (Felicity's Keri Russell) who has an almost supernatural skill for baking unbelievably forget-your-name pies, is worth several plates of spicy Italian pasta. It made me want to eat a whole roll of chocolate cake.

HAIRSPRAY, about a singing and dancing John Travolta in drag, is worth a full bottle of uppers. It made me want to shi-freaking-mmy from the theater all the way to the house.

A LOVE STORY, about Aga's fabulously sculpted new bod, is worth an "excellence in marketing" award. It made me want to hit the gym every day of the week.

Ako. Baket?! Hindi masama mangarap.

May bagong CD sila. And by sila, I mean Mike (katabi ko), Mark (katabi ni Mike), and Japs (katabi ni Mark). ‘Di na kasali si Rico. Kasi tinanggal na niya ang sarili niya sa banda.

Ang title ng CD ay Bagong Liwanag. Kasi 'di na kasali si Rico. Narinig ko na. Sa listening party for select members of the media. Kamusta? Maganda!!! Tunog ‘90s. Early Rivermaya na may Eheads factor. Simple, madaling sakyan, lo-fi, parang jam-jaman lang. Wala na ang Euro stylings ni Rico. Kasi nga ‘di na siya kasali.

Bitin nga lang ang CD. Five songs lang. Ito kasi ang tinatawag na EP o Extended Play. Later in the year pa daw ang full album. By then may bagong lead vocalist na sila. Sa ngayon palitan sila ni Mike, Mark at Japs sa pagkanta.

I don’t really care.

What am I so huffy about with the P30,000 diver’s watch that my friend recently bought for himself? I’ll tell you.

1. I have an aunt who’s quite poor she visits me at home every Sunday to ask for some financial help. I wish I could give her more than P200.

2. The mothers we interview for our concept and post-ad researches each have a daily budget of only P200 maximum to spend for all the needs of her entire family of 5-6.

3. I once met a family for whom Jollibee is a special occasion treat, such as when one of the children finishes the school year with honors.

4. Once a year during our parish outreach program, I meet entire families who call the streets of Manila home.

And my friend isn’t even an effing diver! That makes the watch pure vanity. That’s okay. Vanities are fine for as long as they don’t come with such a huge price tag. Then it becomes a crime in my book.

And don’t even start with me on how a good watch is an investment. Anyone wants an investment? Just look around.

2. Two new TV commercials I wrote that I'm very pleased with started airing.

3. I joined my first on-the-spot photo contest.

4. We finally transferred to our new shabby chic office.
